In 2011 the quantity of electricity sale in the Baltic States of UAB INTER RAO Lietuva, engaged in electrical power trade, being the authorized representative of Russian energy company INTER RAO JES for the Baltic States, reached 8 TWh. This is by 50% more than in 2010, when the company sold 5.4 TWh of electrical power in the Baltic States.

 

Genys, the company engaged in design and installation of refrigeration equipment, and its subsidiary SIA Genys reached the turnover of 22.037 million LTL in year 2011 and the year was profitable. The company had earned 14.13 million LTL of income during the same period in year 2010.

 
In 2011 the unaudited profit of "Orion Securities", the largest financial brokerage company in Lithuania, amounted to 1,9 million Litas, whereas the amount earned in 2010 comprised 0,3 million Litas. In 2011 the income increased by more than 2 times and reached 7,5 million Litas (in 2010 the income amounted to 3,2 million Litas). 
 
UAB IRL Wind, the wind farm managed by UAB INER RAO Lietuva engaged in trading of secondary electrical power, produced 70.6 GWh of electrical power from renewable energy sources in year 2011 and generated turnover of 21 million LTL.
 

UAB "INTER RAO Lietuva", an independent electrical power supplier for Lithuania, signed a contract for the supply of electrical power for the year 2012, and will supply electrical power for the third year in a row to AB "ORLEN Lietuva", a petroleum refining company operating in Lithuania, and one of the largest electrical power consumers in the Baltic countries.

 
The GILD Bankers investment bank announced a list of the 100 most valuable Lithuanian enterprises of 2010, based on the value of their shares. "INTER RAO Lietuva" UAB was evaluated at 645 million litas and took the 18th position in the list.
 
UAB INTER RAO Lietuva, having the status of independent electrical power supplier, renewed composition of its Board. During the meeting of shareholders, which took place on 21 October 2011, the new members of the Board were elected.
 
Investment company Scaent Baltic operating in the finance, energy, publishing and other sectors has increased its share capital from 500 thousand to 5m Litas.
 
On 25 August, the only one in the Baltic countries closed and open air complex of ski trails was officially launched in the village of Mizarai near Druskininkai. Genys, a company designing and installing refrigeration equipment, was awarded the contract for the installation and commissioning work of the cooling and snow production systems, and made a significant contribution to the implementation of this unique project.
 
According to non-audited data in the first half of 2011, the income of the companies controlled by the Scaent Baltic investment company engaged in financial services, energetics, publishing and investments was 645.7 million Litas. Income within the same period in 2010 was 415 million Litas.
 
Two Scaent Baltic Racing Team crews with members driving BMW M3 took part in one of the largest and most prestigious racing sport events of the Baltic States - Omnitel 1000 km Race in Palanga on July 21-23.
 
On 15 July, the transaction of UAB IRL Wind, a subsidiary of INTER RAO Lietuva, on the acquisition of the current 30 MW wind power farm in Kretinga District operated by UAB Vėjų spektras was finally completed.
 
Investment company Scaent Baltic operating in the publishing, energy, finance and investment sectors has determined to withdraw from its minor business by selling company UAB Gourmet Trading which is engaged in the import of and trading in food products and runs gourmet food shops Gourmet. By a common agreement, the transaction amount and the buyer's name are kept confidential.
 
The group of publishing and media companies "SC Baltic Media", after signing new contracts with the publishers of Great Britain's weekly paper The Economist, acquired the exclusive rights to publish The Economist publications in the Baltic countries and is expanding the activity in Latvia and Estonia.
 
Investment company "Scaent Baltic", operating in publishing, energy, finance and investment sectors, reduced its authorized capital from 10 million LTL to 500 thousand LTL.
 
The group of publishing and media companies "SC Baltic Media" acquired the exclusive rights to publish in the Baltic States the publication of BBC Worldwide - magazine Top Gear. This is the first product of the wide cooperation. The first issue of the magazine in Lithuania will reach the readers together with Omnitel 1000 km race on 25 July and it will be published in Latvia and Estonia starting from January 2012.
